Ballet dance dates back the 15th century Italian Renaissance! In later years, it developed into a form of concert dance in France and Russia. Ballet has always been known as the foundation of a dancer. The techniques emphasized in classical ballet provide a framework for every other style of dance. This style gives a dancer a solid technical base and a grace that no other style can provide. L.A. Dance Center of the Arts and L.A. Dance School of the Arts are proud to offer the best of the best when it comes to ballet training. Equipped with leotards, tights, ballet shoes, and pointe shoes, our dancers of all ages participate in ballet classes that match their level of training. We place great emphasis on French Ballet terminology and are proud to say that our students are very well educated in this area. Students participate in barre work, center, petit allegro, grand allegro, adagio, and reverence. With a great emphasis on alignment and turnout, our dancers are beautifully prepared for the technical aspects of performing in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical dance styles. As our students grow into adults, they are honored with the ability to take their ballet training to the next level! Going on pointe is a huge step in a dancer’s life and opens new chapters for them technically and in their love of dance. L.A. Dance is a proud supporter of the preservation of classical ballet and houses the best ballet training in Staten Island, New York and Lincroft, New Jersey.
